It pays a lump-sum cash benefit when you are diagnosed with a covered illness easing your financial worries. **
Allstate Short Term Disability is also known as your “paycheck protection”. Short Term will protect your income for a short duration in case you become ill or injured. Short Term disability has an elimination period and a maximum duration. **
