High Deductible Health Plan Overview:

You have the option to set up a Health Savings Account (HSA).  We strongly encourage you to set aside some money each pay period to put into your Health Savings Account. 

An HSA is a savings account you can use to pay for certain medical costs. HSAs have many benefits:

• The money you put in your HSA account is pre-tax and tax deductible.
• You don’t pay taxes on withdrawals when paying for qualified medical expenses.
• YOUR HSA balance can be carried over year after year.
• You own the savings account and decide when to use funds in it to pay for qualified medical expenses!
• Delaware City Schools will make a contribution to your Health Savings Account.   

Delaware’s Annual Contribution to Your HSA:  

• $1,100 Single Coverage
• $2,200 Family Coverage
